Silifob MP is a colourless silan-siloxan based liquid with special additives. It is intended for surface protection of porous inorganic materials from water / humidity. Its excellent absorption properties enable deep pore penetration and, once the solvent has evaporated, the formation of an invisible impregnation. Compared to other water-repellent silicon finishes, Silifob MP is not only water-repellent – hydrophobic (as in Silifob V, Silifob B, Silifob N), but also oil-repellent – oleophobic. This means that grease, oil, paint stains etc. can be easily removed from surfaces protected by Silifob MP.
Due to the above mentioned properties, Silifob MP is used for the protection of various materials and above all for the protection of:
• floors made of natural and artificial stone or unglazed ceramic tiles – easier cleaning, protection from dirt,
• windowsills, tables and headstones made of natural and artificial stone – easier cleaning, protection from dirt,
• facades made of natural and artificial stone, concrete etc. – reduced water absorption, antigraffiti protection.
Note:
• Silifob MP does not bridge cracks wider than capillary cracks.
• Silifob MP does not glue together loosely bound parts of the material. |

• SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces treated with Silifob MP have to be sound, clean, dry, free from dust and oil and absorbent. Before applying Silifob MP, surfaces which will not be impregnated have to be protected.
• APPLICATION
Silifob MP is applied either by spraying (for the walls) or by rubbing it onto the surface with a brush or cloth. Water-repellent and oil-repellent effect will develop in approximately 24 hours. Because of possible loss of colour on coloured surfaces, preliminary tests on smaller surfaces are recommended. If Silifob MP is used in closed spaces, good ventilation is required.
• CLEANING THE TOOLS
Tools have to be cleaned with white spirit or diluent after use. Warning – protection of absorbent bright-coloured marble Stains caused by red wine, dark fruit juices, coffee etc. usually cannot be removed from unprotected surfaces without visible traces, even if removed directly after the spill. Such stains can be removed without trace from surfaces protected with Silifob MP, but they have to be removed within a short time – approximately 10 minutes. |

• Silifob MP is an inflammable liquid, therefore it has to be stored in special warehouses with suitable storing conditions for inflammable products. Store the product in tightly closed containers, in a cool and ventilated place, protected from direct sunlight. Avoid contact with any source of ignition and heat.
• In tightly closed, undamaged packaging, the shelf life of the product is min. 2 years from the production date.
• The product may still be used after the date of expiry, but the characteristics important for the intended use have to be examined. |

|
Silifob MP is an inflammable liquid, therefore all general instructions for safe work with chemicals and inflammable products should be observed:
• Eating, drinking or smoking during work is prohibited.
• After finishing work, hands should be thoroughly washed with water.
• When handeling Silifob MP suitable gloves and eye/face protection should be worn. In case of skin or eye contact, wash the affected skin area immediately and thoroughly rinse the eyes with water for at least 15 minutes, then seek medical help.
• Silifob MP may have harmful effects on aquatic organisms – do not release into the environment, do not discharge into drains. |

Consumption depends on the type, porosity and coarseness of the protected surface:
• marble (double coat): 0,020 – 0,050 kg/m2
• unglazed ceramics: 0,015 – 0,100 kg/m2
• other materials: 0,20 – 0,50 kg/m2 |
