First mechanically remove as much of the silicone sealant as possible. Then add Tekapursil S into the joint. The thickness of the Tekapursil S must be 2-3 times the size of the remaining silicone (at least 4mm). Leave the Tekapursil S to react with the silicone at least 24 hours. It is recomended that you use the Tekapursil S on surfaces which are not visible first.
After 24 hours remove the dissolved sealant and clean the joint gaps with a cloth and water. For thicker layers the procedure should be repeated. Reaction time The time needed for the removal of the sealant depends on the surface and the thickness of the sealant. If Tekapursil is used on textile, leave it on onla for 30 minutes, because there is a danger of stain forming. |
