FC TKK Tolmin champion, gold for Luka Božič in canoe double

Srpenica, 12. 6. 2014

Footballers of FC TKK from Tolmin have reached a milestone in the 93-year-long history of the club. Namely, after several years of hard work they can now look forward to the title of the 3rd SNL (Slovenian Football League) – west division for the season 2013/2014, and the historic success and placement of the club in the 2nd Slovenian league.

After winning the silver medal at the world championship in Australia and the bronze at the European championship in Vienna, canoeist Luka Božič also won the gold medal in canoe double race at the recently finished World Cup in London.

The company TKK has been actively supporting local sports activities for many years now, and with sports sponsorships it has proved that investing in sports can be much more than only social responsibility. In 2014, the company has reinforced its sponsorship strategy with plans by supporting some already existing protégés and starting new strategic perspective sponsorship projects as well. A well-established sponsorship strategy in connection with outstanding teams and individuals has given exceptional results in the first half of the year.

Regardless of its long-standing support of FC Tolmin, the company noted great potential in the current team and their eager fighting spirit, and decided to raise the sponsorship stakes. Team management and TKK as the new main sponsor, have set high targets which are being realized with the exceptional efforts and engagement of the players. Namely, FC TKK Tolmin has achieved a hardly expected goal by winning the title of the 3rd SNL – west division and placing in the 2nd Slovenian league. Exemplary collaboration and the historic success reflect the right decision of the company TKK which shall continue supporting the club through future challenges of the 2nd Slovenian football league as well.

TKK’s support of the young ambitious canoeist Luka Božič has also proved to be the right decision. He has achieved exceptional results over the past few months, both in independent performances and in canoe double races. Canoeists in the canoe double, Luka Božič and Saša Taljat, made a convincing victory at this year’s World Cup competition held at the Olympic venue in London. Dominant performances by the young canoeist are validation of the correct sponsorship decision for the company, and a good motivation for Luka in the remainder of the season.
